(Photo by Pak Jono, a field ranger for Gunung Palung National Park) One of the joys of digital photography: Erick shares images with children in a village near Gunung Palung National Park in Borneo. (Photo courtesy of Dr. Kinari Webb, founder of Health in Harmony) Erick takes aerial photos of Gunung Palung National Park from one of the microlights used for air patrols to combat illegal logging. Resulting photos can be seen in the Gunung Palung and Logging & Deforestation galleries. (Photo by Erick Danzer) Erick takes photos of a helmeted hornbill at a nesting hole in Gunung Palung National Park. One of the resulting images can be seen here. (Photo by Pak Hendro, a ranger for Gunung Palung National Park) A six-month old baby elephant gets curious about Erick's camera at the Elephant Center in Way Kambas National Park. Due to widespread conflict between elephants and villagers along the borders of the park, over 50 'problem' elephants have been captured and domesticated under a program run by the park service. Way Kambas, which gained national park status in 1982, remains one of the best places in Indonesia to see wild elephants as well. THE HEALTH IN HARMONY COLLECTION Health in Harmony, founded by Yale-trained doctor Kinari Webb, is an inspired organization that combines a focus on human health with environmental conservation. Webb is currently working to develop a clinic in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, that will meet the basic needs of poor communities. The clinic will be tightly linked with conservation efforts to preserve Gunung Palung National Park, one of the last places where orangutans still live in the wild. The Health in Harmony Collection contains images taken specifically to support the organization's good work, and five percent of all proceeds from the sale of the images, for any use, go to support the organization.
