A Sumatran ground cuckoo (carpococcyx viridis, captive) in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. The Sumatran ground cuckoo is considered one of the world's rarest birds and is critically endangered. This bird was captured by a trapper and turned over to the Wildlife Conservation Society, who recorded the bird's call for the first time. Once it recovers from an injured leg, the bird will be released into the wild. Lampung (Sumatra), Indonesia.
