The town of Cemoro Lawang, perched on the rim of the Tengger caldera, is the jumping off point for most visitors to Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park in East Java. The major attraction is the spectacular landscape, as Mount Bromo, a new volcano cone, emerges from within the 10-kilometer extinct Tengger caldera. Mount Semeru, Java's tallest volcano, looms over the whole landscape. East Java, Indonesia.
